What does it mean when a shy guy fidgets during a movie?

We went to a movie with each other. He was sitting next to me. He was moving through out the whole movie. He would cross his legs and arms then uncrossed them. He would lay his ankle on his knee then take his leg down. I could feel his leg moving up down up down. He would put his hand under his chin and then would rub his face or chin too. It was like he couldn't get comfortable. Why would he fidget?
