Have you tried making a tofu-based frosting, and if so, did it taste good?

I just found a recipe for tofu-based pineapple frosting, and I'm slightly scared to use it, though the idea that it contains no oil or margarine does excite me. Have you ever used a tofu-based frosting? I, of course, know that vegan frosting can contain margarine if it wants to, but I would like to try something without.
