Does this girl not like me ?

I'm a guy at university & hav liked this girl i see in the library. For months we would just make awkward eye contact but nothing more. However yesterday i went to finally speak to her. This is what happened - a friend asks her for a "pen" for which i returned it to her. Well as i approached her and asked is this her pen, she immediately was taken back and looked & sounded shy. During this time, she kept fidgeting with her cardigan & quickly looked back at her friend when i arrived. I tried making small talk such as what she's studying and exams. I said it was nice talking to her & left it at that. I was nervous but she seemed more nervous than me the whole time, which made me feel better inside. So is there any chance that she may like me or not? Honest answers please...
