Cop let me go, am i really ok?

a cop came up to me in a parking lot because i almost went out the wrong exit but didnt. He flashed me and let me know i was doing something wrong so i backed up and parked. he came in and asked to see my license and stuff and noticed i had my license for a month but had people in my car. he got mad and said i lost my license but then after talking and hearing me out he asked if i had ever got a ticket i said no and so he let me off. i was nice and didnt talk back and have a clean record so he let me go. he didnt give me a ticket and he drove right off and didnt look at his computer so i know. is it possible that i can still lose my license or did i really catch a break?
